New Zealand Hunting safaris packages

The hills and valleys of the South Island offer some of the best hunting in the world. Otago red stags are our specialty.

Our concessions for public land and access to private hunting blocks are the best way to hunt New Zealand’s trophy species like Otago red stags, elk, tahr, chamois and fallow deer. Along with the expertise and southern know-how of Stacey and his team, we also offer helicopter or vehicle access, a private lodge, and cabins or camping options when out in the hills. Trips start from the New Zealand Hunting Safaris lodge at Hāwea, 15 minutes from Wānaka.

New Zealand Hunting Safari packages are all-inclusive and provide a range of overnight hunting experiences and trophy hunts for red stag, tahr, chamois and more. We also have options for trophy-only hunts and bird shooting.

All trophy fees
Daily rates
One guide per hunter
Field preparation of Trophy
All airport transfers to and from the airport, lodgings, meals and drinks
Guaranteed shooting opportunities on all hunts

All prices are in US Dollars. Non-hunters pay $280 per day.

Trophy Fees
Cost of trophy fees are for people already in New Zealand who have organised their own vacation and decide to go on a hunt. These are also for clients on one of our hunting safari packages who decide to harvest other trophies.
