Guided trophy hunting New Zealand

Welcome to
New Zealand's Southern Alps

The home of true wilderness hunting

New Zealand Hunting Safaris is your access to wild, remote and spectacular hunting terrain.
Stacey Anderson has spent a lifetime in the hills and valleys of the south, hunting New Zealand trophies and game animals. With lodge accommodation, access to trophy animals and local know-how, this is bucket list hunting.

New Zealand Hunting

If New Zealand is a hunter’s paradise, then the southern region of the South Island is paradise found. This part of the country delivers abundant populations of species like the red stag, elk, tahr and chamois across private, public and farmland. New Zealand Hunting Safaris gives you the ability to access a wide range of terrain with the concessions required to hunt trophy stags, land helicopters and gain vehicle access. Guests have use of our private lodge as well as cabins and campsites when we’re out in the spectacular hill country.

Hunting info

OTAGO RED STAGS
The ultimate New Zealand trophy. Local Otago reds descend from a bloodline dating back to the 1800s when deer were released in New Zealand for sport. They have found an ideal home in the south, and some of the finest specimens are to be found around Hāwea and the Southern Lakes region.

TAHR AND CHAMOIS
Preferring the higher terrain, tahr and chamois are a challenging yet incredibly rewarding hunt. This is why our tahr and chamois trophy hunts are among our most popular trips, particularly in the colder months when these impressive animals are showing their full winter capes.

FALLOW DEER
New Zealand’s fallow deer show impressive speed, agility and cunning. They might be smaller than the reds or elk, but they are just as rewarding. Stalking trophy fallow is done in the wild or on our private native bush block, home to the original blue mountain fallow deer herd.
